Literary and folklore legacy of Mikhail Dogordurov

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the artistic and folkloristic heritage of  Mikhail Dogordurov (1916-1961). Until present, there is no any written work devoted to the study of his  biography, the dynamics of creative development and his scholarly comprehension. Some articles and  reviews on the writer's works appeared in the republican periodicals during 1950-1970, as well as on  anniversary dates of the later time. The research is based on manuscripts, documents, notebooks, diaries,  letters from the archive of Mikhail Dogordurov, kept in the National Archives of the Sakha Republic  (Yakutia), memoirs of the writer's contemporaries. The purpose of the work was to reveal the creative  individuality of Dogordurov as a writer and folklorist, to reveal the theme of fiction of the period of 1929-1955, to highlight unpublished works from the writer's personal archive, to reveal the  creative individuality of Dogordurov as a folklorist based on the material of his personal archive. The  methodological basis of the research was a system-integrated approach to the study of the phenomena of  literature, based on principles and methods of particular historical analysis. The theoretical and practical  significance of the research is in addendum the materials on development of Yakut literature, creating a  source study base that provides a foundation for studying the works of Dogordurov. The main findings  and conclusions can be used for further theoretical developments in the study of the multinational  literature of the peoples of the Russian Federation, at university and school courses and special courses  on the history of Yakut literature related to the works of Mikhail Dogordurov.
