The land issue in the educational poetry of Safuan Yakshigulov

Abstract

The article focuses on the study of educational poetry, understanding of the land issue in the works of Safuan Yakshigulov of the early twentieth century. The article describes the origins of Bashkir educational literature, the influence of democratic ideas of the late 19th century, in particular the work of M. Akmulla (M. K. Kamaletdinov) on Bashkir poetry. The educational activity of the poet Yakshigulov, the formation of his creative activity and attitude to the issue of plundering Bashkir lands are considered separately. It is said about the civil, political position, attitude through the analysis of the works of an outstanding poet. In addition, attention is paid to the poet's communication with other Bashkir educators, independent study of secular sciences, foreign languages, etc. It is concluded that the enlightenment poets stood at the origins of educational reforms.

The paper analyzes the Yakshigulov’s poems and describes how he met the revolution, the changes of the early twentieth century. The article also analyzes the thoughts and speeches of the poet. Examples of new poetic images are given, with the help of which he revealed not only the spirit of the times, but also his spiritual world: it was a new enlightenment poetry. The material also mentions authors of that time, such as M. Akmulla, M. Gafuri, Sh. Babich, Ya. Yumaev.
